#1 Langstone Manor Park – camping, caravanning and glamping on Dartmoor
You may think we’re biased, but we’re one of the few camping and caravanning sites within the boundaries of Dartmoor. Our holiday park was founded in 1871 by the brother-in-law of the Duke of Bedford, long before Dartmoor was designated a national park.
The four villas he developed were surrounded by ‘pleasure grounds’. These grounds are today’s campers’ and caravanners’ pitches and patches. Perfect for getting out on the moors or staying put to soak up the unique ambience of Dartmoor.
We’re not part of the UK’s largest caravan club, the Caravan and Motorhome Club, but if you are, you’re more than welcome to join us! You can book your pitch on our website, or phone (01822) 613371 if you have questions. For those preferring to stick with certified club locations, there are three club sites close to Dartmoor, but not quite within it.
#2 Hunters Lodge caravan and camping site
This small camping and caravan site is a hop and a skip from the southeast border of Dartmoor National Park. A short stroll from Dawlish’s train station and close to the Exe Estuary Cycle trail. It’s an ideal spot for cycling holidays.
The site caters only to adults and has 15 pitches, for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents. The small size of the site ensures peace a quiet when you come to stay. Past guests have rated the site highly on Trip Advisor, giving the accommodation and service 4.5 stars out of a possible 5!
#3 Parkland Caravan and Camping Site overlooking Dartmoor
Nestled in the heart of South Devon overlooking Dartmoor and Salcombe, Parkland is ideal for a Dartmoor getaway. The site is open year-round and includes modern facilities. Their hotel-style washrooms and WCs give a luxurious touch to caravanning and camping trips. The camper’s kitchen and site-wide Wi-Fi ensure you’ll have everything you need on your break.
This caravan and camping site doesn’t accept dogs and is an adult-only site. Guests rated Parkland Excellent on Trip Advisor.
Camping, glamping and caravanning on Dartmoor is a special experience you’ll want to enjoy time and again. Our busiest times of year are between May and September. We recommend booking your pitch early to secure your slice of Dartmoor paradise!
