The National Trust has gardens and houses in the South-West. They also organise special events during the school holidays. A firm favourite close by is the beautiful Lydford Gorge.

Days out at the seaside – where to start? Here in the south-west, we are spoilt with an amazing coastline, and from Langstone Manor, there is plenty of choice from cosy coves like Wembury near Plymouth to Looe a popular fishing seaside town to surf beaches like Polzeath on the north Cornwall coast.

The River Tamar runs from near Bude on the north coast for 60 miles to Plymouth and creates a natural border between Cornwall and Devon. The Tamar and its tributaries, the Tavy and the Lyner form the Tamar Valley now designated an area of outstanding natural beauty due to the natural biodiversity and cultural importance. There is a wealth of things to do, from canoeing, painting to tree surfing.

Visit our What’s On page to see a calendar of local events taking place in the coming months.

These are just a few ideas; of course, you can just relax and enjoy the peace & quiet at Langstone Manor Park!
