The small shop has all your essentials at a reasonable price, you can even pre ordered freshly baked croissants and baguettes to collect warm the next morning
Location is great for exploring Dartmoor with pew tor just a short walk away.

The location is excellent, on the edge of Dartmoor dirdctly beneath the beautiful Pew Tor and... read more with easy access to the western moor, allowing the visitor a jumping off point for for some of the country's most beautiful walks. The pretty market town of Tavistock is also within easy reach, while moderate journeys will take you to Plymouth, Cornwall and the coast. The facilities are good, with all the necessary amenities, a shop, a restaurant and bar, although the opening times for the latter could be extended. I found the staff friendly and helpful.

Virgin Experience days charges £100 for a “glamming pod” but it’s cheaper to book direct with Langstone.

The views were lovely with Pew Tor and Dartmoor behind us and the Devon countryside in the other direction. There is a small quiet bar and restaurant on site which also does takeaway. We stayed 8 night and although we were hit by the storm there was plenty to do in the area on wet and windy days with Tavistock/Plymouth/Dartmoor Prison museum/national trust houses etc only a short drive away. The site is on the western edge of Dartmoor and we spent many days hiking and bagging Tors. The landscape is dramatic and there are many ancient sites scattered around full of myth and legions. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and there is a fairly well stocked shop on site. There is also a restaurant which serves delicious food and good beer, and has a lovely sun room where you can watch the birds whilst the sun sets. There is plenty of wildlife around the site, including lots of birds and bats. All the facilities are well kept and clean, and there are lovely walks from the site, particularly to Pew Tor which has fantastic views from the top. More

Some lovely cycle routes and walks right on the doorstep. Recommend the Peter Tavy Inn and Cornish Arms too.
Disappointing it was hard to get taxis to Tavistock for restaurant reservations in the evenings though

The location was fabulous and easy to access (with the help of google maps!) and the mega pod we stayed in was equipped with everything we could have needed.

We particularly liked how calm and quiet our time at Langstone was as it made the trip feel very relaxed.

The gentleman who greeted us upon check in was very polite and helpful too!

Lovely clean site, shower block, laundry room. We tried the restaurant on this holiday and only just made it before they were due to close. The staff were amazing! So friendly and nothing was too much trouble and our meals were great. The site is close to lots of places to visit, although we do tend to go where we can do lots of walking as we have two dogs. Even better, you only have to walk 5 minutes up the road to get onto the moors where you can walk for miles if you want to, so no need to even get in the car to go out. Lots of ponies, sheep and cattle and birds around. If you're lucky you can see hares in the gorse and foxes on the moors. It's just such a special place. More
